Set Mezcal Barro - Face

Barro negro or black clay pottery pieces are made by dear artisan and friend Yolanda in San Bartolo Coyotepec, Oaxaca.

Yolanda makes these pieces by hand in Oaxaca, Mexico. She uses a brick oven to give them form. The clay isn't actually black, but when put in the oven and covered with mud it turns black as the technique used employs smoke to change the color.

Her talent and love for detail bring to life these beautiful pottery pieces. 

This is an artisan-made item, with a small inventory. Can be eligible for shipping from México and can take 1-2 weeks to arrive, the wait is more than worth it!
