Rodrigo was raised by his grandmother, who taught him to work the pedal loom when he was just a boy. But when his grandfather left the family, they were forced to sell their looms, and with them, the trade that had sustained them for generations.

Years later, the man who had bought his family's looms came looking for Rodrigo, offering him the chance to buy the business back. He said yes without hesitation, brought in a master weaver to relearn the old techniques, and rebuilt what his family had lost. Today he leads a thriving cooperative, teaching others in his community and creating steady, dignified work where there once was none.

His daughter has started learning the loom too, carrying the same techniques her great-grandmother taught him, now shaping them into new designs for a new generation.
